How much does an aluminum fence cost?
Aluminum is the most expensive fence material we install, and pool jobs sit at the higher end because the gate hardware and the spacing requirements add material. The specific number depends on the run, the gates, and the grade, so it gets quoted on site rather than over the phone.
Does an aluminum fence meet pool code?
It does when it is specified correctly, which means the right height, picket spacing narrow enough that a child cannot pass through, no horizontal members that work as a ladder, and self-closing self-latching gates with the latch above the required height. We build to the local code rather than a generic one, because these vary between municipalities.
Will it rust?
Aluminum cannot rust. What normally happens over many years is the powder coat chalking slightly where it takes constant sun, and that is cosmetic rather than structural.
How is this different from wrought iron?
They look similar from the street and behave nothing alike. Iron is heavier and stronger and it oxidises, so it needs sanding and repainting on a cycle. Aluminum gives up some of that strength and never asks for the maintenance.
